2023 Tulips, Pet-Nat Rosé of Pinot Noir - Bassi Vineyard
A stunning sparkler! Biodynamic Pinot Noir pressed right off the skins for a delicate Rosé.
The Pinot Noir is direct pressed into a stainless tank where it is bottled right before fermentation finishes under crown cap. The trapped CO2 can't escape, therefore creating bubbles. The wine is disgorged by hand in February of 2023 with no additions or subtractions.
Bassi Vineyard is located only 1.2 miles from the Pacific in the hillsides of the Avila Valley in the SLO Coast AVA. The vineyard is planted in 2001 to 30 acres on the 120 acre ranch. The soils are composed of sandstone, ranging from rock outcropping to sand deposits, a reminder of the close proximity to the ocean.
Tasting notes of strawberries and cream, watermelon sorbet, and sage come to mind.
13% ABV. Only 50 cases produced.
