Rosé of Pinot Noir from Presqu'ile Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley AVA of Santa Barbara County. A combination of clone 777 from the oldest plantings on the vineyard, from 2008, and clone 667.
Located only 16 miles from the Pacific Ocean with 100% sand, marine sediment soils.
The grapes were welcomed with a foot tread and allowed to sit on the skins, whole cluster, for an hour before pressing into stainless barrels where it sat untouched for 6 months with no additions.
Tasting notes of savory cherries, tomato leaf, sage, and the legendary Santa Maria spice come to mind.
12.8% ABV. Only 50 cases produced.
