This organically farmed Pinot Noir comes from the oldest plantings at Presqu’ile Vineyard, established in 2008, and is a true single vineyard, single plot expression. A majestic oak tree stands among the rows, serving as a good luck charm that inspires me each season. The wine’s name, “777,” honors the specific Pinot Noir clone, with a lineage tracing all the way back to Burgundy.
The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented 100% whole cluster with native yeasts. The wine aged for one year in neutral French oak without additions and was bottled unfiltered to preserve its pure expression of the site.
Think tomato leaf, red currant, and subtle earthiness, framed by silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, nuanced finish. Pairs well with Chicken Tikka Masala, Fesenjan (pomegranate-walnut stew), and spicy larb.
13% ABV. Only 3 barrels produced.
