2024 "Pommard" Pinot Noir - Groundstar Vineyard, Sta. Rita Hills

Biodynamically farmed Pinot Noir from the legendary Sta. Rita Hills, this wine captures the region’s cool-climate finesse. Coastal breezes and marine-influenced soils lend energy, precision, and a true sense of place. Groundstar is a new vineyard site for me, and I’m thrilled to be working with these vines and exploring their unique character.

The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts using 100% whole clusters. The wine spent a year in neutral French oak, aging untouched and without additions, and then bottled unfiltered to highlight the vineyard’s natural character.

Think vibrant red cherry, ripe raspberry, and a hint of pomegranate, lifted by subtle floral and earthy notes. Pairs well with Osso buco, Coq au vin, and Bolognese.
