2023 Lou, Chardonnay - Presqu'ile Vineyard
Beautiful, organic, own rooted, Chardonnay from Presqu'ile Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley AVA of Santa Barbara County.
It's located only 16 miles from the Pacific Ocean with 100% sand, marine sediment soils.
The Chardonnay is direct pressed very slowly and barrel fermented with native yeasts. The wine ages untouched and unfiltered, in neutral French barrels for 10 months with no additions.
Tasting notes of green apple, guava, and bruised pineapple come to mind.
13.2% ABV. Only 53 cases produced.
